About Us

Rown is a rock/metal band from Laugar, Reykjadal in Iceland, known for blending raw emotion with powerful instrumentals. With soaring melodies, heavy riffs, and atmospheric textures our music moves between the aggressive and the emotional — sometimes in the same song.

 

We formed with a shared goal: to write music that hits hard, but also means something. Whether it's a driving anthem or a slow-burning ballad, we put everything into our songs — and into the live shows that bring them to life.

 

In 2025, we competed in Músíktilraunir and were honored with the title “Hljómsveit fólksins” (The People’s Band), a recognition that fuels everything we do: making music for people.
